Background/History:
Michelle’s mother died in childbirth and she barely survived as well. Her
father nicknamed her ‘Nymph’ because she was so pretty and loved to be in
water as a baby. As she grew, she gained a reputation for seeming to know how
others felt and for her mood setting the tone in a group. She was very sensitive
to the needs of others. In her mid-teens, her father was diagnosed with
inoperable cancer. His condition rapidly deteriorated and she was sitting with
him, holding his hand, waiting for him to pass. Suddenly, she began to glow and
she collapsed, even as her father seemed to recover. She went into a coma and
his recovery did not last long. He passed away while she slept. No medical cause
could be found for her coma and Healer was brought in. He deduced that she was
in shock due to her failed attempt to instinctively heal her father’s cancer
empathetically. He brought her back and offered to teach her to use her
abilities. She could alter the emotions of others, freeze them with fear or
doubt, read minds, and heal by taking the damage on to herself. She became a
reserve member of the Union of Peace until she fully masters her abilities. Her
biggest drawback is that she is, thus far, basically a normal person and has
little defensive capability.
Personality/Motivations:
She feels for everyone and everything. Her powers make her especially sensitive
toward living things. If she could, she would fix everything that’s wrong and
heal everyone that is sick. She has trained to near human perfection toward the
day she can be a full member of the team which is her main goal in life
currently.
