Background/History:
Ravel and Tietous were destined to be at odds. Ravel was interested in the gods
while Tietous was of a wizard's mind. As time passed, their paths diverged into
an even clearer direction of good and evil. While Tietous became a powerful
white wizard, his brother took the path of darkness and worshipped the God of
evil called Baal. Ravel became more and more consumed with his evil plans and
ever less interested in his wife and young son. As so often happens, evil
deities require sacrifices and Baal demanded his due. Ravel was to slay his son
and commend his pure soul to Baal. Passma, his mother, was not about to allow
that to happen and secretly contacted Tietous. The childless Tietous had been
closer to his nephew than the child's own father and he refused to let this
abomination occur. The scene was set and the conflict that erupted there would
decide the fate of the world. Tietous saved the child, Tieteron, but his mother
was caught up in the battle and her soul was taken by Baal which granted Ravel
power. Tietous turned the child over to the Church of Thor and he dedicated his
life to good becoming a cleric. He became the senior cleric who would travel to
trouble spots and defend the helpless in the name of Thor with Justin, the
paladin.
