Background/History:
Born in Nagasaki, her great-grand parents survived the detonation of the Atomic
Bomb, but their genes were affected by the radiation. They had great difficulty
having children that survived adolescence due to illness and forms of mutation.
Only one male child survived to carry on the family line in each generation.
Then came the birth of Akemi who seemed healthy and they hoped that the altered
genes had been thinned out of their line. She seemed normal until she began
exhibiting pyrokinetic abilities in her early teens. She reveled in her powers
and discovered that her talent was perfect for commiting arson. A client reneged
on her payment, so she burned down his home with him and his family inside.
Samurai became involved at that point and hunted her down. The Ninja Guild
breaks her out of prison and offers her a position which she accepts.
Personality/Motivations:
Always feeling the disappointment from her father at not having a boy to
continue the family name, Akemi became very cold and somewhat reserved. Her
powers gave her an outlet for her anger and, since her father was a law abiding
citizen, an opportunity to be rebellious and break his heart. Her joy in using
her powers and creating mayhem and death with them is frightening to behold.
